This is quite funny. Over the top TV host Denrele Edun got into Asaba International Airport yesterday and you can imagine the first thing he saw.
He saw his photo being used for an advert by a transport company.
The company used him on a roll up banner at the international airport to advertise their transport services without letting him know.
Denrele at first didn’t take it seriously, but one of his fans didn’t agree to that. He told Denrele that he deserved to get royalties from the company. Read Denreles post here;
‘Chineke Mei!! I step into the Asaba Intl Airport in Delta State and hey presto, I see myself on a roll up banner advertising Airport Taxis and City shuttle buses How my face take reach there? Can’t recall doing any promotional shoot for this campaign o! Naija sha! Anyways, Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does!’
‘The Church says: the body is a sin. Science says: the body is a machine. Advertising says: The body is a business. The Body says: I am a fiesta! So it’s time for the fiesta to demand its royalties…..This ageless and timeless body don’t come cheap!! Where is my money ooo Thou Asaba Transport people?? #Sighs’
‘Funny or not? About to leave d Asaba airport and this catches my eye! And I dont recall shooting for this campaign o!’
‘Una know these Asaba transport people so? They had Berra make me a major stakeholder in their bizness o! Watcha fink?’
