Following what was likely the most controversial Vogue cover of all time, the magazine got back to its usual subjects for the May issue: A-list Hollywood actresses. The newest cover girl is the lovely Emma Stone, making her second appearance on the glossy’s cover (her first was in July 2012).
Stone, who stars in the upcoming action flick “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” was shot for the story by Craig McDean, and is wearing a look from the Gucci pre-fall 2014 collection paired with a leather newsboy cap one that’s quite similar to the hat she wore on her Aug. 2012 Vogue UK cover (and her August 2012 Teen Vogue feature — what is it with Emma Stone and hats?).
It’s easy to see why Stone is a Vogue favorite: Her red carpet choices, especially lately, are memorable and incredibly versatile, from Saint Laurent suits and menswear-inspired Balenciaga separates to evening gowns by Atelier Versace and Chanel. She’s got the stuff style icons are made of.
But, while she’s interested in the business of fashion and the intricacies of the industry, she doesn’t quite see herself as a trendsetter. “No, I’ve never thought about that,” she told the magazine.
