After 25 years in the business, Kate Moss will be honored with a special recognition award at this year’s British Fashion Awards. According to the Guardian, the model — who was discovered at 14 and turns 40 this coming January — is receiving accolades on account of her ongoing status as a style icon and her incredible success in the industry.
This won’t be the first time the supermodel has been recognized by the British Fashion Council, as she won its prestigious Model of the Year award in both 2006 and in 2009. She also received the first-ever London 25 British Fashion Council Award in 2009, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the BFC and was meant to recognize a person who embodied the true spirit of British fashion.
Moss is keeping the milestones coming in the new year as well: Not only has she starred on 34 covers British Vogue, she’s making her debut as a contributing fashion editor for the magazine in 2014. Moss also has a new collaboration with Topshop lined up for Spring 2014.
