If we had to take a wild guess as to what Vogue‘s Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington did on Tuesday night, attending Kanye West’s Yeezus Tour at Barclays Center in Brooklyn would probably not be it. But, alas, the power duo was in the house for the rapper’s first of four New York City stops this week.
Harper’s Bazaar‘s Laura Brown snapped this brilliant shot of Coddington’s signature red mane, and although she isn’t pictured, further Instagram evidence shows that Wintour was sitting right beside her. The Vogue duo was spotted in the VIP section, and considering the amount of times that West has name-dropped Wintour in his lyrics and in interviews, we wouldn’t be surprised if he extended them a personal invitation.
Since a rap concert doesn’t really seem like either of these ladies’ scene, we wonder if there are any ulterior motives at play here: Is there mutual courting going on for a future Vogue cover, starring West, his fiancé Kim Kardashian and baby North? We doubt Yeezus would settle for any less when it comes to the official debut of his first born.
We will keep our ears out for any developments, and speaking of ears, we hope that Wintour’s and Coddington’s aren’t still ringing from the heavy bass last night.
